AMREF Reconstructive Surgeon, Dr Asrat Mengiste, was elected President of the Pan African Association of Cleft Lip And Palate (PAACLIP) during the 4th PAACLIP Scientific Conference and General Meeting held in Kumasi, Ghana from July 11 to July 13, 2011.
More than 250 surgeons, anaesthetists and other specialists in the field of Cleft Lip and Palate Care from all over Africa attended the meeting.
