Gates Award for Global Health - 2005 | | The award was established in 2000 by the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation. It is given annually to an organization that has made a major and lasting contribution to the field of global health. |
Medical Honors Award, Discovery Health Channel - 2004 | AMREF received the Medical Honors Award from Discovery Health Channel, USA for its nearly 50 years of extraordinary lifesaving work to improve the health of millions of people in Africa. | |
Conrad N. Hilton Humanitarian Award - 1999 | The $1.5 million award is the world’s largest humanitarian award, honoring a charitable or non-governmental organization that has made extraordinary contributions toward alleviating human suffering anywhere in the world. |
