George F. Brown, MD, MPH

George F. Brown, MD, MPH  Former Director, Health Equity, at the Rockefeller Foundation.  He also previously served as the Associate Director at the Rockefeller Foundation.  Dr. Brown came to the Rockefeller Foundation from the Population Council, where he served as vice president, International Programs Division. A physician and public health specialist with strong social science interests, he has extensive experience in international health and family planning programs and has provided technical assistance and research in many countries of Africa and Asia.  An AMREF USA board member since 1990, Dr. Brown also served as its vice-chairman.  Since 2002, serves on AMREF USA’s Advisory Board.  Residence:  New York, NY.
