Michael H. Alderman, MD is a professor in the newly named Department of Epidemiology and Population Health. Dr. Alderman has extensive national and international experience as the author of more than 260 scientific papers, book chapters and text books that reflect research on many aspects of hypertension and cardiovascular disease. As of January 2008, Dr. Alderman is Editor-in-Chief of the American Journal of Hypertension. He served as an AMREF USA board member for nearly three decades and served as Chairman.
