My Body, My Life Screening

To kick-off the United Nations General Assembly Week in New York City, we held a special screening of My Body, My Life. My Body, My Life is a short film that follows Abigail - a young Maasai girl as she undergoes Alternative Rites of Passage and escapes FGM.

ArtBall 2017

ArtBall is our annual contemporary African art auction and event. Legendary artist El Anatsui was honored with the Rees Visionary Award. The night consisted of a silent auction via Artsy, a live auction, an award ceremony, music by DJ Alex Cruz and DJ Cuppy, a performance by Young Paris, food by Senegalese chef Pierre Thiam, and an open bar.
