From Evidence to Action:  Lasting Health Change in Africa

Amref Health Africa’s first international conference will provide a forum for the exchange of scientific results and debates, including applying knowledge to inform health care financing, human resources for health, community systems strengthening and the post-2015 health agenda.  The first international conference led by an African non-governmental organization seeking African solutions to African problems, it brings together leaders, stakeholders and partners in African development and advocacy.

Subject highlights include:

  • Financing health care development and universal access to health (World Bank)
  • Post-MDGs: The unfinished agenda and emerging health threats to Africa (African Union)
  • Human Resources for Health: The contribution of community health workers and midwives to African health (UNFPA)
  • Community systems strengthening (Uzima Foundation)|
  • Generating health evidence for practice and policy change: Challenges and lessons learned (WHO)
