March 13, 2017 – Last week, on International Women's Day, Amref Health Africa launched its global vision to end Female Genital Mutilation (FGM, also known as Female Genital Cutting or FGC) by 2030. The launch was part of the Africa Health Agenda International Conference, running from March 7 to 9 in Nairobi, Kenya. We released a document called Our vision to end FGM by 2030. In the document, you'll learn more about our efforts to date on fighting FGM, and how we plan to continue to fight for girls' rights to education and to become, as our ambassador Nice Nailaintei says, the "women of their dreams."
